Poel Workshop Actor Catch-up

As live performance returns to our theatres we can catch up with one of our Poel Workshop past participants: Prince Plockey.

He is currently appearing in a Lazarus Theatre Company’s modern dress production of Oscar Wilde’s Salomé playing Jokanaan. The character (the Bible’s John the Baptist) is usually a voice from the cistern below where he is a prisoner but this production brings him on stage throughout. That’s not director Ricky Duke’s only innovation – the Salome Herod so lusts after is now his nephew not his niece. The production runs at the Southwark Playhouse until 11 September and is also available to watch on line.
