Lecture Series

The Society for Theatre Research Lecture Series has been running since 1952 and continues to showcase leading research and practice in the field of British performance.

The series runs once a month in London from October to the following May at St Anne’s Hall, Soho, with our December lecture (dedicated to the late Maggie Collins, whose bequest contributes towards the funding of the series) and our AGM and Annual Address (in May) held at the Art Workers’ Guild, Bloomsbury.

Every lecture is free and open both to members and the public, and also livestreamed via Zoom. Please book to be sent the Zoom link, or to ensure a seat at the venue, particularly for events at the Art Workers’ Guild which has a limited capacity. There is a tickbox for ‘in-person’ attendance on the booking form, and you can also tell us there of any specific requirements such as access needs.

Below is the list of upcoming lectures. For past lectures and events please consult the Events Archive.
