Theatre Dance part of Early Dance Festival on Line 16-18 October

This year the Early Dance Circle, which promotes the enjoyment, performance and study of historical dance in the UK and beyond, is putting its  annual festival on line. This virtual Festival (its 37th) will feature performances from over 25 groups from across the UK and Europe, special guest speakers and a full programme of events.

Taking place over the weekend from Friday 16 October to Sunday 18th October will be free to attend with a suggested donation of £5 for the whole weekend. Places can be booked through eventbrite.

There will be virtual visits to Richmond’s Georgian Theatre Royal, Brighton Pavilion and Palace House Beaulieu. Sunday afternoon’s sessions, which are devoted to  dance in pageants and playhouses could be particularly interesting to the Society’s members. They will include scenes from performances in the Richmond theatre.

You can find the full programme here.
