V&A Blythe House important announcement

The V&A is working on exciting plans to transform how researchers access, explore and experience their world-class collections of art, design and performance as part of their V&A East project. To prepare for this major move, the Museum will be temporarily closing the Theatre and Performance Reading Room at Blythe House on 18th December 2020 before re-opening in their new home in Stratford, East London in Spring/Summer 2023.

Appointments will be available up until 18th December 2020 and can be made by emailing tmenquiries@vam.ac.uk. The Reading Room is open Wed – Fri by appointment only and has a current waiting time of two weeks for archival material and three weeks to see recordings from the National Video Archive of Performance.

Due to the temporary closure, the Department of Theatre and Performance will be unable to accommodate any new research collaborations, projects or CDPs until they re-open in 2023.
