The Society for Theatre Research is committed to inclusivity and stands with those fighting injustice, inequality and racism.

As of today, the STR has launched a Working Group to explore what the Society can do to ensure that the STR enhances its programmes and procedures to better reflect British theatre’s diverse practice, particularly the work of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic theatre practitioners and scholars.

In addition, the Committee will consult members and welcomes suggestions from those outside the Society’s membership.

The STR is committed to change and will share our findings and actions publicly.
