As August inevitably rolls into September and the new academic year approaches, leaving behind summer festivals and conferences (or just icecream on the beach) for shiny new pencils and winter rehearsal schedules, we in the Society are also looking forward to new developments: some are wonderfully exciting, but the following notice is unfortunately inevitable.

As those who attended this year’s AGM will have realised from our financial reports, the Society’s costs have gone up shockingly in the last couple of years –  particularly as regards postage. Having kept our subscription rates the same since before the pandemic, we must with regret now raise them by a small amount to cover some of these heightened costs. The following rates were agreed at the AGM.

New Subscription rates:

Individual Members UK: £ 45.00; Overseas: £50.00
Student Members UK: £ 20.00; Overseas: £ 22.50
Corporate Members UK:£ 55.00; Overseas: £ 65.00
Life Members (65 and over): £ 450.00
Theatre Notebook Only UK: £ 35.00; Overseas: £ 45.00

Again owing to the rise in postal charges, from October we will have to start adding postage for additional orders from the STR Bookshop. More details in a later post.
