Samuel Beckett’s OLD EARTH
As part of the Spitalfields Music Festival for four performances only
15th & 16th June 2012
Village Underground, a Victorian warehouse in Shoreditch,
OLD EARTH features four monologues from Beckett’s FIZZLES prose pieces and is performed by one of the country’s finest classical actors Alan Howard and eight singers from award-winning ensemble The Sixteen.
A new music commission by leading UK composer Alec Roth will accompany the Beckett monologues; OLD EARTH is directed by Jonathan Holmes and designed by Lucy Wilkinson.
