Anouska is an honorary research associate with the University of York’s Centre for Renaissance and Early Modern Studies. She specialises in early modern performance, material culture, and collections. Her PhD examined the props and costumes of sixteenth-century performance, with chapters on paper monsters, magic mirrors, starch, and snow. Her first monograph, Lost Texts and Performance Palaeontology, will be published by Cambridge University Press (Shakespeare and Text Elements Series) in 2025. She is editing Christopher Marlowe and Thomas Nashe’s Dido, Queen of Carthage with Martin Wiggins for the Oxford Marlowe: Collected Works (2028).
