Diego Saglia
Prof.
I teach and research English and British Literature, with a focus on the Romantic era, also in connection to other European traditions. In the field of drama and theatre, my work concentrates on the Gothic stage, tragedy and melodrama. I am member of the Italian Interuniversity Centre for the Study of Romanticism (CISR) and I sit on the advisory committee of Museo Byron in Ravenna. I have co-edited, with Michael Gamer, “A Cultural History of Tragedy in the Age of Empire” (2020), and my latest monograph in English is “European Literatures in Britain, 1815–1832: Romantic Translations” (2019).
