New Treasurer Needed

The present Treasurer’s term of office is coming to an end and he will not be seeking re-election at the Society’s Annual General Meeting on 19th May 2020.

The role

The Treasurer is responsible for the day to day management of the Society’s finances – income from subscriptions and other sources and expenditure on activities, services and expenses. There is an established system of reporting to the Committee, through a small sub-committee, on the preparation and monitoring of the budget and the size of the Society’s membership.

Accurate and continuous recording is essential for the preparation of reports and for the annual accounts which before being submitted to the Charity Commission are examined by an independent examiner, also appointed at the Annual General Meeting.
