Liverpool theatrical treasure trove

A correspondent writes: I am clearing the possessions of my late mother and I have come across a boxful of scrapbooks containing news cuttings written by my grandfather, Oscar Leopold. Oscar was a drama and arts correspondent for the Liverpool Post and Echo in the 1920s and 30s and he became very knowledgeable about the Liverpool theatre scene of the time. He also wrote some plays himself. I am wondering if there is anybody who is doing research into that period in the North West who might want his articles. We also have a lot of plays from the period.

Are you researching this period of theatre in Liverpool? If so, here is a treasure trove! Contact the STR membersinterests@str.org.uk for more information.
