Join the NRN Committee!
Are you an early career researcher? Do you like talking shop and socialising with other like-minded people as well as delving into the depths of your research subject? Do you like organising exciting and memorable events? Read on…
The New Researchers’ Network of the STR is a supportive group of postgraduate students, practitioners, and early career academics with interests relating to theatre and performance research. The NRN Committee organise a calendar of events each year: we hold a research-focused symposium every summer, and a workshop/training session (in publishing, teaching, public engagement, career possibilities, etc.) in winter or spring. Past events have included study days, lectures, theatre/archive tours, and social dinners. This calendar of events is designed to encourage members to share knowledge and ideas, to provoke discussions and debate, and to develop a network of helpful and supportive contacts.
The NRN Committee is looking to recruit several new members in the coming months. This opportunity would provide valuable experience in organising events, managing social media accounts, and/or running a blog.
If you would be interested in applying to join the NRN Committee, please email a brief expression of interest to nrn@str.org.uk by Friday 5th April. If you would like to know more about this opportunity before submitting an expression of interest, please contact Ella Hawkins and Rachael Nicholas at nrn@str.org.uk.
