STR Membership

Join the Society in 2008... ...and receive a free copy of the brand new facsimile of James Winston's The Theatric Tourist (rrp£45). Other benefits of membership include free subscription to Theatre Notebook, members' rates for conferences (see details for the Jubilee conference in Richmond, just below), entry to society lectures and social occasions, membership of the New Cavendish Club, and full access to the STR online Forum. STR members also enjoy a significant discount on the fees for the Jubilee Conference at the Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond. The conference is entitled The Georgian Playhouse 1750-1850 and its Continental Counterparts and will include papers on performance styles, theatre architecture, provincial circuits, colonial and continental theatres, the work of James Winston, scenography and musical theatre.
