THIS EVENT HAS TAKEN PLACE

Interim Report
Members and their guests were given a guided tour of the exhibition The Face and Figure of Shakespeare: How Britain's 18th century sculptors invented a National Hero, by curators Marcus Risdell and Iain Mackintosh, after which tea was served in the old stables.
After tea Oliver Ford Davies and Timothy West treated their audience to an amusing and informative talk about acting Shakespeare, following which there was a wine and buffet reception.
A shuttle bus ran between Orleans House and the Garrick Temple just along the river, allowing people to visit both historic buildings in one day.
This event was organised jointly with the Arts and Heritage Development office at Orleans House, who promoted it as part of their public programme.
