Leeds Grand Theatre: 130th Anniversary Exhibition

THIS EVENT HAS TAKEN PLACE

17th - 22nd November 2008
Emerald Grand Hall, LS1 6NZ.

From the day the doors of Leeds Grand Theatre were first opened with a performance of Much Ado About Nothing on the 18th November 1878, audiences have kept returning to enjoy performances in this beautiful Grade II* listed Victorian building.

To celebrate their 130th birthday they will be hosting a week long exhibition in partnership with West Yorkshire Archives in the newly refurbished Emerald Grand Hall.

Long hidden archive material will be out on display for you to come and discover forgotten stories and traditions and learn about the different characters that have been involved with the theatre throughout the decades. Sound recordings capturing people's memories and impressions of the theatre today will also be exhibited, ensuring that stories are shared with generations to come.

Backstage guided tours are available.
